South Water Street, Beaubien Court to Stetson Avenue, Bridge Reconstruction
Project Details
Reconstruction of a 50-year-old viaduct ensures safe travel for vehicles and pedestrians on the upper and lower levels of the bridge.
As a member of the Phase I/II engineering services team, Ardmore Roderick provided general engineering services, including traffic counts, roadway geometrics, Americans with Disabilities Act requirements, and preliminary design. This project reconstructed the intermediate-level bridge over Lower South Water Street from Beaubien Court to Stetson Avenue. Support columns for the two buildings pass through the median of both the lower and intermediate levels of South Water Street, which required extensive consideration throughout the design of the project.
