Rockford Maintenance Facility Reconstruction

Project Details
Modernizing a Critical Operations Hub for Long-Term Reliability
Ardmore Roderick delivered Phase III Construction Management services for the reconstruction of the Rockford (M-7) Maintenance Facility on the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway. The Illinois State Toll Highway Authority required a modern, resilient facility to support growing maintenance needs and minimize operational disruptions throughout construction.
Ardmore Roderick oversaw the full reconstruction effort, managing field activities, coordinating with onsite maintenance operations, and guiding the demolition and replacement of the existing facility. The work included constructing a new maintenance building, equipment shelter, water well house, utility systems, truck desalinization station, upgraded communications infrastructure, and fuel storage improvements.
Through targeted construction oversight and continuous coordination, Ardmore Roderick ensured safe operations, streamlined scheduling, and efficient delivery. The upgraded facility enhances maintenance capabilities, improves operational reliability, and strengthens the overall performance of Tollway support services. This modernized site positions the agency for improved response times, safer working conditions, and long-term infrastructure sustainability.
