As a member of the team delivering the I-80 reconstruction and widening project, Ardmore Roderick provided essential construction inspection services. The project expanded I-80 to three lanes in each direction, realigned ramps, and introduced new lane configurations along US 30 through the I-80 interchange.

Additional improvements included enhancements to bicycle paths, traffic signalization, lighting, and drainage systems. The project also involved widening, redecking, and partially replacing I-80 over US 30 and the Metra Railroad, with new abutments, a concrete slab bridge, and updated approach and connector pavements.

In our role as Construction Inspector, Ardmore Roderick worked closely with the Construction Project Manager. Daily responsibilities included overseeing the placement of reinforced concrete pavement and concrete shoulders along an approximately two-mile section of the expressway. Our team also managed the placement of concrete barriers, storm sewer removal, and pipe underdrain replacement, ensuring the project was completed to the highest standards.
