Reconstruction of I-80 at US 30
Project Details
A reconstructed interstate interchange alleviates congestion and improves safety for more than 80,000 vehicles daily.
This project reconstructed and widened I-80 to provide three lanes of traffic in each direction. It also realigned ramps and created new lanes along US 30 through the interchange and improved bicycle paths, traffic signalization, lighting and drainage systems. As a critical member of the construction inspection team, Ardmore Roderick worked closely with the construction project manager to oversee the placement of reinforced concrete pavement, including concrete shoulders for an approximately two-mile section of the expressway. Inspection also included the placement of a concrete barrier, storm sewer removal, and pipe underdrain replacement.
