Ardmore Roderick Leads Surveying Project for Nicor’s Aux Sable Pipeline Project

Ardmore Roderick served as the main Survey Field Lead for the Aux Sable Project in Plainfield, Illinois, focusing on the removal of existing pipe and the installation of a new 36-inch steel pipe within the ComEd Transmission Tower right-of-way. The project required comprehensive surveying services, including field staking for right-of-way, easements, centerline alignments, and various construction features. Topographic surveys assessed existing site conditions, while as-built surveys meticulously documented pipe and construction details, including welds, fittings, and other structural elements. Settlement monitoring was conducted near the railroad, and final grading ensured compliance with cover and restoration requirements. Survey data was delivered per client specifications in detailed spreadsheets.
