Project Details
Comprehensive analysis helps improve intersection and rail crossing safety and efficiency.
Ardmore Roderick provided Phase I engineering services for roadway improvements at the intersection of Governors Highway and University Parkway in Monee, IL. The project includes adding turning lanes, installing traffic signals, and constructing a shared-use path along both roadways. It also involves reconstructing a railroad crossing located 150 feet from the intersection.
Ardmore Roderick prepared the Crash and Safety Analysis and Traffic Maintenance Analysis for the Phase I Project Report, including safety countermeasures to reduce crashes and a Transportation Management Plan. Coordination with nearby railroad infrastructure, including Metra and Canadian National tracks, was crucial for successful project integration.
