I-94 Bishop Ford Expressway at Stony Island Interchange Renovation

I-94 Bishop Ford Expressway at Stony Island Interchange Renovation

Project Details

A renovated interchange revitalizes connections between two major roadways that are vital to the region’s commercial transportation.

Ardmore Roderick served as the prime consultant in a joint venture with Environmental Design International, Inc. (EDI) on the $42 million I-94 (Bishop Ford Expressway) at Stony Island Feeder Interchange project. This project connects a major expressway with a major arterial road in an area with heavy truck traffic. Ardmore Roderick and EDI provided construction surveys, staking, inspection, quality assurance testing, and documentation of quantities for construction work. The project included two complete bridge replacements, two new bridge decks, two bridge rehabilitations, and one bridge removal. It also involved new traffic signals, drainage improvements, and the reconstruction of the Stony Island Extension. Multiple interchange ramps, electrical improvements, and detour routes were also part of the project, with some nighttime work for beam erection.
