I-55 at IL 59 Interchange – Phase II
Project Details
A new diverging diamond interchange improves roadway access, traffic safety, and congestion along one of Illinois’ primary logistics and distribution corridors.
Extending IL 59 to the southeast over I-55 into a diverging diamond interchange provides access in all directions between both roadways. Two new ramps ease southbound exits and northbound entrances to and from I-55. An auxiliary lane between IL 59 and US 52 along I-55 facilitates weaving between interchanges. Realignment of the existing I-55 east frontage road allows for the construction of the new interchange. Ardmore Roderick provides survey and structural support as a member of the Phase II engineering team. Ardmore Roderick completed type, size and location plans and final plans for two retaining walls.
