I-294 Central Tri-State St. Charles Road To North Avenue/Lake Street Widening/Bridge Reconstruction

A mile of roadway improvements along I-294 responds to an increase in traffic demand and eases congestion.

As a Phase II engineering team member, Ardmore Roderick provided engineering services to add traffic lanes and reduce noise along I-294. The net 1.06-mile project area includes retaining walls, noise walls, and bridge reconstruction, along with five lanes of traffic going northbound and six lanes of traffic going southbound. Additionally, the project creates an exit ramp from I-290 westbound to North Avenue/Lake Street.

Ardmore Roderick was responsible for maintaining traffic, creating super elevation diagrams, marking pavement, designing signage, and preparing plans. By focusing on innovative solutions, comprehensive engineering, and strategic collaboration, Ardmore Roderick played a vital role in delivering a project that improved mobility and enhanced the quality of life in the region.
