Hydrosystems Laboratory and Pedestrian Bridge Expansion

Hydrosystems Laboratory and Pedestrian Bridge Expansion

Project Details

A $33M laboratory renovation and ‘smart’ bridge expand learning spaces and incorporate state-of-the-art technology to educate engineering students.

Designed for the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department, the modernized laboratory includes two technology-enhanced classrooms, offices, conference spaces, collaboration spaces, and research and teaching labs. A pedestrian bridge equipped with sensory technology collects data used by students researching the effects of forces that impact structures.

As General Superintendent, Ardmore Roderick coordinated and scheduled trade work, verified accuracy, and implemented safety and training efforts. The expansion of the Hydrosystems Laboratory is a testament to how smart engineering and thoughtful collaboration can shape a sustainable, innovative future for education.
