Build Up Cook County Program

Project Details
Reinforcing Cook County’s Water Infrastructure for a Stronger Future
Ardmore Roderick is providing construction management services for the Cook County Build Up Cook program, a countywide initiative funded through the American Rescue Plan Act to modernize public infrastructure and strengthen community resilience. The program addresses aging water systems across numerous municipalities, many of which face increasing maintenance needs and reliability challenges.
Ardmore Roderick leads construction management efforts for more than 20 active water infrastructure improvement projects throughout Cook County. The work includes overseeing municipal water main upgrades, coordinating sewer jetting and lining activities, and managing widespread hydrant and valve replacements. The team collaborates with over 15 communities to monitor construction progress, ensure compliance with project requirements, and maintain safe, efficient operations in active neighborhood environments.
These improvements enhance system reliability, reduce water service disruptions, and support long-term public safety. By advancing critical upgrades across multiple jurisdictions, the program delivers meaningful community benefit, reinforcing essential infrastructure, improving emergency response capabilities, and strengthening the overall resilience of Cook County’s water distribution networks.
