Wassaja Residence Hall Revitalization
Project Details
A new residence hall enhances student experience as the University revitalizes its core residential neighborhood.
Named after the University’s first Native American graduate and pioneer advocate for Native American rights, Wassaja Hall features a public art installation that reflects Wassaja’s legacy. The 504-bed residence hall is LEED Gold certified and features spacious double rooms clustered into pods for communal, yet private, living.
Ardmore Roderick provided construction administration services and engineering support for the project. In addition to demolishing an existing building, the new 155,000 SF residence hall project includes a four-acre artificial turf multi-purpose athletic complex, a 500-foot stormwater bypass sewer, and a 10-acre underground regional stormwater management facility.
