Project Details
Advancing Maintenance Operations Through Modern, Resilient Infrastructure
Ardmore Roderick provided Construction Management services for the Illinois Tollway’s M8 Maintenance Facility and Site Improvements along the Reagan Memorial Tollway (I-88). The project supported the agency’s need to replace an aging facility with a modern, efficient operations hub capable of meeting current and future maintenance demands.
Ardmore Roderick oversaw all construction activities for the new 96,000-square-foot maintenance facility, coordinating site work, building erection, utility installations, and associated support structures. Key actions included managing the installation of underground utilities, directing site grading and paving, and overseeing construction of a precast truck wash building, salt storage with brine systems, and upgraded fuel infrastructure.
Through proactive coordination and thorough field oversight, Ardmore Roderick ensured high-quality delivery and minimized disruptions to ongoing Tollway operations. The completed facility enhances maintenance capacity, improves operational efficiency, and strengthens long-term reliability for the region’s transportation network—providing a safer, more effective base for year-round roadway support.
