This was a Construction Management at Risk project for the Lockheed Martin RMS Facility in Orlando, Florida. Ardmore Roderick was the prime General Contractor on a project to expand the secure perimeter around the open office area for a particular program. The project had to be accomplished in a very aggressive timeframe and while the area was occupied. Our team also coordinated with the vendor hired directly by the client for the installation of the systems furniture once the new secure perimeter wall was in place.

Due to the spaces being occupied, the work needed to be completed in four separate phases, each phase complete before the next one could start. The most critical phase included the completion of the overall perimeter wall and access control on all entry/exit doors to ensure the space was under proper security control. Due to material availability and the condensed schedule, our team needed to coordinate directly with the client to mitigate those challenges, including alternate material selections and slight changes to the subsequent phases. All outages needed to be scheduled on “off Fridays” as to not interrupt the daily operation and functionality of the staff working in the areas.
