This project included Phase II engineering services consisting of the reconstruction and widening of Weber Road from Normantown Road to Rodeo Drive. The design provided for three lanes in each direction separated by a variable width barrier median. The total net length of the project is approximately 1.57 miles.
As part of the reconstruction, a new closed drainage system was introduced, and traffic signals were modernized and interconnected. Also included in the project scope was the interchange improvement of I-55 at Weber Road. Utilizing the existing structure to carry northbound traffic and a new structure to carry southbound traffic, the existing configuration was converted to a diverging diamond interchange.
Ardmore Roderick’s Professional Engineers were responsible for the pavement marking and signing plans and the respective cost estimate, quantities and specifications. Responsibilities also included assisting with the preparation of the proposed drainage plans, profiles and quantities, and preparing the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) ramp detail sheets.
