Ardmore Roderick was engaged to provide Construction Inspection services for a variety of Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Reliability Improvement projects. Ardmore Roderick staff provided on-site inspection, reviewed submittals, attended progress meetings and recorded minutes, and provided daily construction reports that included photographs of the work in progress. The projects encompassed the following work:
- Replacement of 3″ service yard piping with new 6″ water lines
- Construction of a below grade concrete valve vault around existing 42″ water valves
- Installation of a new phosphate chemical metering pump skids and piping
- Installation of two new 480 V (3-phase) electrical panels that involved running approximately 800 feet of 2″ conduit and wires
- Installation of two new 2″ chlorinated water feed lines
- Installation of new 30″ butterfly valves and a 30″ electronic water meter
- Installation of a cross connection between water tanks with 24″ ductile iron pipe valves and fittings
- Running over 500 linear feet of new 1/2″ phosphate injection lines
- Removal of existing rusted ladders and handrails and installing approximately 160’ of new stainless steel ladders and associated handrails in two large below-ground tanks
