The  City  of  Chicago  DIGGER system was  established  to  prevent  contractors  and  private  citizens  from  hitting  any  existing  utilities  while digging. Ardmore Roderick entered a 5‐year agreement with  the City of Chicago to  locate  underground  utilities  for  DIGGER  within  the  public  right‐of‐way  for  improvements  performed  by  public  and  private  entities.    Utilities  to be located  include  water  mains  and  service  lines,  sewer, street light cable, traffic signal cables, OEMC and fiber optic cables.

Ardmore Roderick currently employs a staff of 10 to assist in locating utilities year-round, as well as investigating damages to the City’s utility network and identifying which party caused the damage.
