Ardmore Roderick served as subconsultant to Environmental Design International (EDI) for the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) Arterial Streets Resurfacing projects on various streets in the Far South Area of Chicago. These projects are funded by both federal and local funding sources. Ardmore Roderick provided inspection support that includes documentation of contract quantities as well as ensuring the contractor adheres to the contract documents.

The scope of work included the following:

  • Hot mix asphalt surface removal and hot mix asphalt resurfacing
  • Pavement removal
  • Construction of ADA ramps
  • Concrete placement for bus pads and patches
  • Catch basins, manholes, water valves and inlets to be adjusted
  • Partial curb/gutter and sidewalk removal and replacement
  • Landscaping
  • Traffic control and protection
  • Pavement markings
