Ardmore Roderick recently dedicated a Saturday to helping the community by partially constructing two homes for Habitat for Humanity. Over two dozen Ardmore Roderick Chicago employees participated in the event by framing, painting siding, and building and erecting walls for the structures. Staff from each of our markets (aviation, transportation, utilities, and vertical) showed up to chip in and get the job done.
Folks from Aldridge Electric were also on site, as their team also volunteered their time to complete construction.
The team was fortunate to have great weather as well!
Habitat for Humanity works at a community level to bring strength, stability and self-reliance to entire areas of the city. They don’t just want individuals to survive; they want neighborhoods to thrive. Their big picture approach provides maximum impact, not only for those living nearby, but Chicago at large, because the health of a city is directly tied to the health and well-being of its citizens. Habitat realizes that it takes a long-term commitment and multi-year investments, so they work alongside partners and residents who are dedicated to seeing Chicago thrive.
