Ardmore Roderick provided construction management services on this $90 million veterans’ home that provides nursing and health care services to 200 Illinois vets, including 44 beds for veterans with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. The five-story home is the fifth facility of its kind managed by the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs, which currently houses more than 900 veterans across the state. The home is located on the grounds of the former Chicago-Read Mental Health Center and adjacent to the Dunning-Read Conservation Area, a 23-acre oasis of wetlands and woodlands being restored to its natural state. Ardmore Roderick provided services as a subconsultant to Turner Construction.
