As a trusted advisor to the Chicago Department of Transportation, Ardmore Roderick was selected to serve as the prime consultant for the Arterial Streets Resurfacing contract for various streets in the South Area of Chicago. The projects are funded by both federal and local funding sources. Ardmore Roderick provided construction management and inspection including documentation of contract quantities, review of contractor submittals, chairing progress meetings, and preparing pay estimates.

The scope of work included the following:

• Hot mix asphalt surface removal and hot mix asphalt resurfacing
• Pavement removal
• Construction of ADA ramps
• Concrete placement for bus pads and patches
• Catch basins, manholes, water valves and inlets to be adjusted
• Partial curb/gutter and sidewalk removal and replacement
• Landscaping
• Traffic control and protection
• Pavement markings
