The City Colleges of Chicago’s New Malcolm X College Campus was a new construction project that features 544,000 square feet, capacity for 20,000 students, health science classrooms, a virtual hospital, general education and adult education classrooms, student services and athletics facilities, a conference facility, an auditorium and a separate parking garage structure.  
Ardmore Roderick provided project management services as a subconsultant to the Construction Advisor for the Malcolm X College project. Our team researched delivery methods for capital construction projects in greater Chicago area to best support the project. We also prepared and presented these project delivery methods, benefits and consequences of each to the project team.

As part of our construction management role, we assisted the Owner’s Representative in preparing project delivery recommendations for the City Colleges Malcolm X staff and conducted a market survey of potential Construction Managers and Design-Builders bidders in the area to procure information. Finally, our team reviewed and commented on drawings through various stages and recommended value enhancement measures when needed.
